LA Kicks Off with First Loan Disbursement

Grameen America is proud to announce we are officially lending to low-income women in LA. Based out of Boyle Heights, Grameen America's LA branch is in full swing. Branch Manager Badi Ul Alam and Center Manager Natalie Rodriguez disbursed micro-loans before the end of 2012. Meet our first member, Alicia:  Alicia is Grameen America's Los Angeles' first Center Chief.  She joined Grameen America to help grow her small business selling cosmetics.  She has been earning money doing at-home make-up and facials for several years.  She received her loan before the holiday season and plans to take advantage of having more to invest to increase her sales.
